About: Mikey is an owner surrender from the Midwest. He was taken in by a family who saw him on social media. The original owners said they traveled too much and needed to rehome him asap. Mikey likes other dogs, and everything was fine at first, but their resident dog is a resource guarder and has become aggressive towards him. They have tried trainers and it's not getting better, so they decided it was in Mikey’s best interest to rehome him.

Mikey is pretty chill. He is a late sleeper and likes to snuggle with his dad. He would snuggle all day if he could! He’s a beagle so he can be vocal and loud sometimes. Especially when he sees a cat! Mikey is a great companion dog and would do fine as an only dog or with a calmer pack.

He sleeps in a crate at night and often puts himself to bed. Mikey is housetrained but will likely need to get back to a routine once he settles into a new home. He is playful with his dad when the other dog is not around. It appears he was stressed in the home and tended to suck on a blanket to calm himself. We think he will relax once he feels safe in a different environment.
